And this black Manjyu bun! I will eat it~! And this clear liquid? That tastes so sweet!


In fact, what am I? I'm pretty sure it is only luck that has awoken me today~ I dunno! So I'm just going to drink this.

Fate Skips a Beat

location: Hot Springs
mood: chipper
Hitsuzen. Fate. Destiny. The opposite of coincidence. The inverse of luck. Some watch the stars and their millennium heartbeats, timing their own to the great breathe of the cosmos~ Some hold hands and gazes, birthdays and bloodlines, reading down to the tiny trembling cell of humanity to guess which way their own life will turn. Some strive boldly forth as if in command of their own domain, turning away from such soothsayers and marchly ides, and yet wonder why they are turning right instead of left. And some, a very few some, are able to put their hand upon it, take a hold of that pulse, challenge the heavens and their flesh, and in fact change. Those few, of course, are strange things we call People. And people dream, and people believe, and people can, in fact, alter the course of history.

If they have the guts to do so.

Do you?





Ah~! It's good to be back. No place like home! Here again I see? Well I'll just settle right back in....

I'm callin' all the rakes, all the dames, all you owls out there who might just be out on the town, might be looking for something savory~

Are you telling me you want a little toe tappin'? Maybe a little pinch of bootleg? Or even some j-j-j-jazz? Oh well don't you know it baby, we've got just the thing. Makin' it keen, right here, where your daddy wouldn't go. No Dick's allowed, unless they want a little juice to keep 'em loose. Only jack and Jane up in here, right here at my door. Some call us nifty. I just calls us The Cat's Pajamas.

So put on your ritz, baby, because you've got it. And if you don't got it, then we're here to sell it. That's right, clean and simple, just as you like it. You better move it, you better give me a Fox and a Trot. You better wiggle like your mama did, back when she knew it ain't for keeps, and no handcuff had her chained down. Mmhmm, you better show me your stuff--better be that live wire.

Because it's fate. Uh huh. You and me, and the hooch make three. I'll take a check for that, fly boy, and don't you forget it. ♥

An Announcement~

Though we have many house guests and visitors here at the Hot Springs, one thing that has been decreasing is? Customers~ Deeply distressing. There is no human who does not want, nor a person who does not wish for things, and while many of you, dear civilians, are often evolved enough not to need my services, I am curious to know that a great deal more of you may in fact need me, but have remained shy. No need for that, my dears.

It is true that I only serve those who need me, those who are willing to pay the price, and those who have requests no mortal or god can grant. Unlike normal shops, I do not dither in coupons or sales, events to bring the public to my door, fliers stuck to your underthings. There is no negotiating with fate, no discount on your humanity. And yet I do find myself so lonely without the normal, shy influx of those I can help. Perhaps it is the summer heat, but I am far more prone to stretching out on wooden floors than doing business these days. Tsk tsk~ What would happen if I left it all to fate, and no longer had a purpose? You don't want to know, citizens. So don't make me wait~




Ahhh Summer! I feel the need for a beach trip! Unless you are scared of the baddies of the forest? Ikkaku-san? John? Cori? Any takers? I'm waiting~~~

A letter to those who have come to stay in my abode~

There is to be no fighting. No invasion of privacy. No damaging of anything. No sticking one's nose in where it does not belong. It will be cut off.  I offer this place not out of kindness, but out of response to need. Do not expect anything to be free, for that is the first thing you must learn after being born. Nothing is without it's price.  Watanuki will cook for you. If Watanuki is busy, you will cook for you. Watanuki will clean. If Watanuki is busy, you will clean. If you cannot clean enough, or cook enough, or anything enough to suit the bargain for staying here, then you will leave. If you can not find something to do in order to make yourself useful, then you must find something to suit my needs. Laziness will not be tolerated. Someone else will not do your chores, unless you adequately compensate them. At no time will you think of this as a hotel, or your own house, or a place to stay for free. You are a guest. Guests will be served food and drinks. Guests will be treated with absolute respect. Guests will return that respect, will make up for the food and drinks they have consumed, and not over stay their welcome. How long you may stay is directly proportional to your manners and hard work.

Don't like the rules? They are not mine. They are the rules that govern the universe, so complain not to me. 



[ooc; Yuuko is a little tired from listening to DDR and Karaoke, and the influx of newcomers has her a little taken aback. Not to mention a hangover? She, of course, will give you whatever you wish, but she is in no mood to be lenient about prices. You pay up front, on time and in exact change, or you're out the door!]

Well~ Finals! Teachers must be scrambling to finish the last of the grading, pouring over the ups and downs of their student's grades, wondering if they taught them well enough, if they're prepared now to enter the real world, if by teaching they have managed to impart some grain of wisdom to the children of the future....


I really wouldn't know how they feel right now. ♥


I will be available at Prom for chaperoning. Extra Credit goes to those students who can dance~

Fate, as a principle. Will, as a sense of action. Are human beings characterized by their free will, or are all actions predetermined. If so, can those actions be changed? Does God have a role in the fate of man? Is God, in fact, dead? Is your beautiful teacher God? ♥ And if we learn, if we study, if each and every one of you becomes an expert on the words of great masters, great philosophers, great lunatics of the past, present, and future, does it matter? If you solve the mysteries of fate, take charge of the power invested in choice--can you save the world? Does the world need saving? Does it want to be saved, and if perhaps it doesn't, just what, then, are you to do? If I divine and tell you when you are to die, would you like to jump from a window just to prove me wrong? Would you then fly? If I read the path of your life, and see that in two years time, you are to fall in love with a boy with large brown eyes, will you? Had I not told you, would you not? What is the point of fortune telling, if nothing is to change? Do I already know what grade to give you, or can you exercise your power of will over this exam, and change your fate?



These, and other questions, will not be asked on the exam~! I expect everyone to have read all the books and to come to class on time for the test. It will be 100 questions long, short answer and multiple choice. Maybe. 

I will be in my office if you have any questions. I like apples, pears, pot stickers, and wine tea~
